OOWA Annual Conference and Trade ShowJanuary 19-20, 2010 The Ramada Plaza Hotel & Conference Center If you would like to acquire the NEHA credential of Certified Installer of Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems (CIOWTS), we will offer both the Basic Level and Advanced Level exams on Monday evening, January 18, 2010, at 6:30PM. Anyone interested in taking the exam must complete an application form and be approved by NEHA prior to the conference. The deadline to submit your application is December 18, 2009. The Conference begins on Tuesday, January 19, with our Annual Membership Meeting. This meeting gives OOWA members the opportunity to ask questions and present suggestions regarding the operation and future of our association. It will be followed by five hours of educational sessions. The Trade Show begins at 7:00AM, and tops off the day with a reception from 4:30PM to 7:00PM. Our raffle winner will also be announced at that time. Wednesday is another full day of educational sessions. This is also when our Awards Luncheon will be held, giving us the opportunity to recognize our outgoing directors and officers as well as other noteworthy OOWA members. We will be presenting our sixth Distinguished Service Award to someone for their outstanding service in helping advance the onsite wastewater industry in Ohio. Proceeds from both our split-the-pot raffle and our Silent Auction go to the OOWA Professional Development and Memorial Grant Fund. Two grants, of up to $500 each, are awarded to OOWA members from this fund annually. If you would like to donate an item to the Silent Auction please send it to the OOWA office or bring it to the conference. FeesEarly registration fee for the two-day conference is $195 for OOWA members and $295 for non-members. This includes all seminar materials, continental breakfasts, luncheons, refreshment breaks and the Trade Show Reception. You also have the option of attending only one day of the conference. Continuing EducationWe will apply to the State Board of Sanitarian Registration and the National Environmental Health Association to receive continuing education credits for our two-day program.
